Risk assessment

Risk assessment that stays close to the work

Assess hazards with a method your team recognises. Record the risk level, the controls and the person responsible, then route the assessment for approval and create actions where the risk needs work.

Risk, connected

Assess the hazard, name the control, assign the owner

Give HSE teams a repeatable method and give managers a clear view of the risks and controls recorded for each activity.

Hazard identification

Record the activity, the hazard, the people exposed and the situation observed, using a structured template.

Configurable risk matrices

Use a 5×5 matrix or configure severity and likelihood labels to match your methodology and risk bands.

Risk level and controls

Record probability, severity and risk level alongside the prevention and control measures for each hazard.

Hierarchy of controls

Classify controls from elimination and substitution through engineering, organisation and PPE, and assign a control owner.

Review and approval

Route the assessment for approval and keep the decision, reviewer and signature with the record.

Risk reporting

Review assessments and risk levels by site and activity, and generate a PDF or Word report from the completed record.

A method people can repeat

The assessment names the control and the owner

A team assesses a maintenance activity. Each hazard is recorded with the people exposed, the probability, the severity and the resulting risk level.

The control measures are classified, assigned to an owner and given a due date. The assessment is approved and kept with the site record, so the method is consistent the next time the activity is reviewed.

Scope

Define the site, activity, assessor and the boundary of the assessment.

02

Record each hazard, the people exposed and the situation observed.

03

Evaluate

Score probability and severity, set the risk level and record the controls.

04

Control

Assign control owners and dates, approve the assessment and create actions where needed.

FAQ

Risk assessment: frequently asked questions

Can we keep our existing risk matrix?

Yes. The severity and likelihood labels and the matrix data are configurable, so the assessment can follow your current method.

Does it use the hierarchy of controls?

Yes. Controls can be classified as elimination, substitution, engineering, organisational measures or PPE.

Can a risk assessment create an action?

Yes. A field such as risk level can be configured to show an action control. A user can create a follow-up action with an owner and due date, and controls can also carry an owner and due date.

Can assessments be approved?

Yes. Risk assessments use the approval and signature process, so the reviewer and decision are retained with the assessment.

Can we use it across multiple sites?

Yes. Assessments are recorded against a site, and permissions can limit each team to the sites it manages.

Can we generate a report?

Yes. Completed risk assessments can be exported as PDF or Word reports and reviewed alongside the site record.
